We ask that anyone applying for a swim trial at the Borough of Harrow  Swimming Club should be at Swim England Learn to Swim level 7 or above or be recommended by their swimming coach.

Please be aware that demand for trials is high and you may not be invited to the next scheduled trial, you may be given a date in the future if the next scheduled trial is over-subscribed.

For these trials you will need to bring with you:

  1. Swimming trunks/costume
  2. A pair of goggles
  3. A towel to dry yourself

Please note, there will often be other swimmers wishing to join the club attending at the same time.

The trial usually takes place alongside a normal club training session which provides a great opportunity for you to see club training in full swing. All potential new members, regardless of age or experience, are assessed to ascertain the swimmer’s level of ability.

The coaches will also discuss expectations and aspirations all of which help identify the most suitable training squad.

The trial is also a good time for swimmers and parents to ask any questions about the club and the training provided.

Very shortly after the trial you will receive an email either confirming an offer of a place in one of our training squads or providing feedback. The email will outline the steps to follow if you wish to register with the club and it also details our membership fee, squad training fees, method of payment and training timetable.

We hope to see you for a trial soon.

The Club has Codes of Conduct and policies to provide a framework of behaviours and standards, which members, coaches, parents and volunteers are expected to conduct themselves.

These Codes and Policies cover many important issues and are not intended to be exhaustive.

It is suggested that all members, coaches, parents and volunteers read and familiarise themselves with these policies.
